ITU COORDINATION AND NOTIFICATION OF SATELLITES

Training Focus

The training concept for “ITU Coordination and Notification of Satellites” is following a mixture of theoretical and practical parts. The first lessons are dedicated to general aspects of satellite systems whereas the ongoing lectures will introduce the coordination and notification procedure based on article 9 and article 11 of radio regulations. In exercises the software provided by the ITU will be used to capture coordination and notification data.
An optional training session (1 day) can be ordered where coordination calculations for satellite networks and earth stations according to the latest ITU rules are explained and demonstrated with state of the art coordination software (Appendix 7, Appendix 8, ITU-R S.741).

Course Objectives

After the training the participants will understand the procedures and methods for satellite coordination and notification and can perform typical tasks like capturing of coordination information and electronic submission of notices with the software and documentation provided by ITU.

Employees of Regulatory Authorities and technical staff of satellite operators.

Prerequisites

General knowledge in radio telecommunications technology.
