MOBILE NETWORK PLANNING TOOL xG-PLANNER - ADVANCED TRAINING (GSM/UMTS)

Training Focus

The training Advanced Radio Network Planning Tool introduces the advanced network analysis calculations offered by the software for GSM and UMTS networks. This includes the complete range of calculations available for frequency assignment and analysis of frequency plans. In addition, the methods for importing and analyzing of drive test data are covered. The training includes the analysis of UMTS networks with the static engine based on pilot power as well as the usage of the Monte Carlo simulation. Similar to the training “Basic Radio Network Planning Tool” the lectures will be a mixture of explanations with slides and demonstrations at the tool followed by exercises to be performed by the trainees.

Course Objectives

After the training the participants will be able to perform network analysis for GSM and UMTS networks (static and Monte Carlo simulations), frequency allocations, analysis of frequency plans and drive test evaluations.

Suitable for

Radio network planning engineers, system engineers.

Prerequisites

General knowledge in radio communications technology, CDMA technology, basics of radio network planning, training “Basic Training of GSM Radio Network Planning Tool”.
